Every year for the past 12 years Blue Grass has hosted an amazing family event with the purpose of donating to The Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. This autumn focused festival features so many fun events for the young and old, including pumpkin carving, face painting, hay rides, balloons for the kids, a jelly bean count, a giant straw maze, a Cinderella Pumpkin Coach, an amazing petting zoo, unusual and interesting pumpkins and gourds and lots of great food to keep everyone happy!

The finale to the day is a giant pumpkin dropped from a 100ft crane onto a car! The smash is the highlight of a day that requires approximately 200 volunteers and helpers and has recently allowed audience participation as well! We do suggest a donation of $5/person for the event and all proceeds are donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. We are also very lucky to have many generous sponsors to help cover the cost of several of the events.

Blue Grass is very proud to have raised over $150,000 for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation over the past 10 years.
